This amazing South American ski resort sets the stage for you and our team to explore leadership, life, and skiing over an eight-day, full-immersion adventure. We use alpine skiing as a vibrant metaphor for real world business and life situations. The outcome of our Portillo retreat brings you unique tools and lifelong learning, both on snow and off.
Portillo is full of stunning views: The Andes Mountains tower more than 15,000 feet, the view of lake Laguna del Inca changes by the hour with the reflection of beautiful light, and the bright yellow boutique hotel feels like a private club.

No matter how many business startups or turn-arounds you’ve done, the same excitement of learning and growth shows up daily, on the mountain and in our classroom. Who facilitates Leadership in the Fall Line®?
You’ll be working with a handful of premier ski coaches. The Leadership in the Fall Line® team is comprised of the top ski instructors in the United States, examiners from the Rocky Mountains, and members of the PSIA National Alpine Team.
Among these instructors are our world-renowned leadership coaches. Using their years of consulting experience and The Miick Tools, our coaches guide your successful performance and growth.
Portillo, Chile will host Leadership in the Fall Line 2017. With skiing in the beautiful Andes Mountains and world class leadership training, this premium program will affect you both personally and professionally.
What to expect at Leadership in the Fall Line® in portillo?
In this iconic resort, conditions change and decisions get made in the moment: When to turn, how much edge to use, how much energy to expend. Habits emerge; some serve and some do not. In our program, new learning and skills are established in places you would not think possible. Step in, develop your abilities to manage energy, celebrate strengths and new learning that gets you to balance, grace, speed, and effectiveness. These are lessons for a lifetime.
Each day, our team provides the time and skills to lead those who wish to do an early morning stretch to prepare for our day. Some participants sit in meditation, with basic to advanced yoga available. Portillo has its own gymnasium, fitness gym, swimming pool, spa, rock wall, movie theatre, bar, and nightclub.
You’ll be pleased with the Old World feel of Portillo. Whether we’re in prep for the day or in debrief of our learning, each day the food, wine, and service restores us with Chilean charm. Live music at the bar every night adds nice social bonding. For those who choose, the euro disco parties into the morning. Additional fun can be had on Sunday during Portillo’s cocktail party hosted in the living room before dinner. On Friday night the Ski School performs an entertaining torchlight parade on the Plateau run.
The Leadership In The Fall Line® videographer will be documenting our work both on the slopes as well as our coaching sessions at the hotel throughout our eight-day retreat. When you arrive home you will receive a video of your trip highlighting your skiing, our tools, skills learned, and lasting memories.
