ASPEN, SNOWMASS
February 25th - March 1st, 2019
We’re delighted To be at Aspen, Snowmass for 2019!
Aspen is an international resort destination. February is the ideal time of the year for our program with optimal ski conditions. The climate is characteristic of high altitudes. Renowned for its warm winters, low humidity and intense sun.
Daytime temperatures range from 20 – 40 degrees in town and from 10 -30 degrees on the mountain. The temperature drops dramatically after sunset.
Aspen’s original roots as a western silver-mining town are in deep contrast to its modern, celebrity- filled, glamorous reputation.
In 1946 Walter Paepcke and Friedl Pfeifer, a member of the 10th Mountain Division, started the Aspen Skiing Co, which began the transformation of this mining town into an international resort destination. Walter and his wife Elizabeth held a vision for a “utopian community for mind and body”. In 1950 this vision became the Aspen Institute, a non-profit think tank which reflects on ideals and value-based Leadership.
Who facilitates Leadership in the Fall Line®?
You’ll be working with a handful of premier ski coaches. The Leadership in the Fall Line® team is comprised of the top ski instructors in the United States, examiners from the Rocky Mountains, and members of the PSIA National Alpine Team.
Among these instructors are our world-renowned leadership coaches. Using their years of consulting experience and The Miick Tools, our coaches guide your successful performance and growth.
What to expect at Leadership in the Fall Line® Aspen?
During our event conditions change and decisions get made in the moment: When to turn, how much edge to use, how much energy to expend. Habits emerge; some serve and some do not. In our program, new learning and skills are established in places you would not think possible. Step in, develop your abilities to manage energy, celebrate strengths and new learning that gets you to balance, grace, speed, and effectiveness. These are lessons for a lifetime.
Our time off the slopes is based at the luxurious Viceroy Hotel and Resort located at the base of Snowmass Mountain with ski-in/ski-out accommodation. This beautiful, sophisticated resort is the perfect place for an alpine leadership retreat in the Colorado Rockies.
The program will begin with a welcome reception including cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Each day our meals are included and on a couple of nights we will explore the town of Aspen and dine on local cuisine.
We can assist with booking extra nights at the Viceroy before or after our program. You can bring your family or friends to enjoy this beautiful destination and share in your excitement and learning about the Leadership In The Fall Line® program!
